As a result of a partnership between Google and Canonical, the launch of Ubuntu Pro provides critical integration options for Google Cloud. Customers now have access to expanded security coverage, patching, and compliance features for public clouds using open-source software.
The C2C team was pleased to be able to invite Hugo Huang, Product Manager at Canonical and Ubuntu, to give a presentation on Ubuntu Pro and Google Cloud integration options and sit down afterward for a chat with our community. This session introduced the full product portfolio, including segments on:
- Using the latest Ubuntu features to secure the Open Source software supply chain
- A hands-on tutorial for an in-place upgrade from Ubuntu LTS to Ubuntu Pro
- A demo to create Ubuntu 22.04 on Google Cloud
